I’m a Virtual Assistant and Digital Project Manager based in Littlehampton, West Sussex, providing reliable admin and project support to healthcare agencies, service-based businesses and growing teams across the UK.

With a background in healthcare, consumer and digital agencies, I support clients with day-to-day admin, project coordination and operational support, helping them stay organised, reduce overwhelm and free up valuable time.

My background

I began my career in advertising and digital agencies after university and time spent travelling. I went on to work as a Project Manager in a large London-based healthcare agency, where I developed a strong attention to detail and an appreciation for robust processes.

I later moved into a consumer agency, working with well-known brands including Tesco and Nike. This experience allowed me to refine my own way of working, balancing structure with flexibility while managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

After relocating to West Sussex, I joined an agency working across both pharmaceutical and consumer projects, giving me a broad and practical understanding of different industries and ways of working.

Why I became a Virtual Assistant

Like many project managers, I was wearing multiple hats. Alongside managing projects, I was:

  • Populating website content

  • Creating wireframes

  • Carrying out QA checks

  • Managing financial reconciliations

  • Acting as a link between digital and account teams

While managing a heavy workload, it became clear how valuable reliable, behind-the-scenes support could be, particularly for admin-heavy or process-driven tasks.

That realisation led me to set up Gemma Mason VA Ltd, offering virtual assistant, admin and project management support to businesses that need extra capacity without hiring in-house.

How I support clients

I provide calm, proactive virtual assistant support that helps businesses run more smoothly. Whether it’s ongoing admin support, project coordination, maternity cover or temporary role cover during recruitment, my aim is always the same: to make workloads lighter and processes more efficient.

I work flexibly, slotting in as an extension of your team and supporting your existing systems and workflows.

A little more about me

Working remotely allows me to maintain a healthy work–life balance, something I believe is essential for sustainable businesses. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me at the beach or the pub with friends, family and my two rescue dogs, Bella and Bailey.

Life is too short to be stuck working late into the evening or double-checking documents after multiple rounds of review. That’s where I can help.
